Its compact USB-C dongle supports Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones, and tablets, while 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth switching can help keep game sessions and mobile listening within one headset.

Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Choose the Arctis Nova 5X if you play across Xbox and other supported platforms and want one headset with a compact USB-C dongle.
The listed support for consoles, computers, tablets, and phones makes it a practical fit for a mixed-device setup.
It is also a good match for extended gaming sessions if long battery life and fast charging are priorities.
Up to 60 hours between charges and six hours of use from a 15-minute USB-C charge can reduce the need to plan around charging breaks.
Players who move between game audio and mobile media may appreciate the one-button switch between wireless modes, while on-headset ChatMix, volume, and mute controls make common adjustments accessible during a session.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you need simultaneous connections to two gaming systems. The headset toggles between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3, so check that this switching setup fits your needs.
It may also be a poor fit if your preferred games are outside the companion app’s preset range and you do not expect to adjust sound manually.
Its preset feature is centered on selected games rather than a promise of a tailored profile for every title.
Arctis Nova 5X Review Analysis
One headset across devices
The Nova 5X’s platform breadth is a key part of its appeal: the compact USB-C dongle is intended to work across Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones, and tablets.
That makes it a candidate for a shared gaming and mobile setup, although buyers should verify the connection they need for their own devices before purchase.
Battery and charging
The 60-hour battery figure and fast-charge option suit players who want less frequent charging.
USB-C charging is especially useful when a short break is all that is available, with the stated 15-minute charge providing six hours of use; actual needs will vary with use.
Wireless switching and controls
A physical quick-switch toggles between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth, and notification beeps can alert players to incoming calls during a game.
Power, mute, volume, ChatMix, and quick-switch controls are on the headset, which makes these functions accessible without relying solely on an app.
Game presets and microphone
The companion app’s more than 100 game presets offer a starting point for tailoring audio, while the retractable microphone keeps the boom stowed when it is not in use.
The microphone chipset’s 32KHz/16Bit support is a specification rather than a guarantee of clear calls in every environment, so frequent callers should consider their noise conditions.
